We've been selling this flywheel in NZ for over 15 years. It's what the majority of Kiwis use to convert their 6 Cylinder BMW to manual, lots of series and race cars have this setup

This flywheel takes the 240mm E36 M3 Pressure plate. It has a recess so you can run a sprung hub clutch disc or a solid disc like the OE kit. Like anything quality there are copies out there and the majority aren't nitrided and hardened so have a soft ring gear and chew out.

D1Racing Lightweight Chromoly Flywheels are made from 4140 one-piece billet chromoly steel.

They are specifically designed to reduce weight and inertia for better engine response but not too light to cause issues with harmonics

Most incorporate special design features to enhance the air flow to improve the cooling of the clutch.

All D1Racing Chromoly flywheels have passed engineering tests to 12,000 rpm.

After being professionally installed the flywheel requires a 1000 km break-in period.
