Darren Leckey has spent more than 25 years in the New Zealand automotive trade. For the last 17 of them he's owned and run NZ Automotive Distributors (NZAD), the parts distribution business he built from the ground up.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Management from the University of Auckland, and through NZAD works directly with international manufacturers as their New Zealand agent. In a market that's among the most competitive in the country — and globally — NZAD has made its name by getting right the things the parts industry so often gets wrong: speed, accuracy, product knowledge, clear communication and sharp pricing.
