IMPORTANT NOTE

Most NZ new vehicles with the MAZDA WL and WL-T type engines (1997 year onwards) have an
Engine temperature controlled Glow Plug system - causing the Glow Plugs to be pulsed for up to 15 MINUTES after starting !!

This causes severe wear on the Glow Plug, particularly where the vehicle is started and stopped often for commercial use.

The WL & WLT Engine on Mazda & Ford Courier Diesels may commonly have its Coolant Temp Sensor out of specification, which can affect hard starting AND pulse the Glow Plugs much longer than they need to.

Thus, it is highly recommended to also replace the Sensor when changing Glow Plugs if the original Sensor is still being used.
